May 9 at 4:00 pm: Student Tour of Port Washington Water District Treatment Plant

Port Washington students and their parents are invited to join us at one of our water treatment plants for a firsthand look at everything that goes into pumping, treating and distributing millions of gallons of water every day in the Port Washington Water District! Our children hold the future of our environment in their hands and it is important to foster an appreciation of the hard work it takes to preserve it, so register today!

November 15 at 7:00 pm: Summer 2022 Conservation and Capital Improvement Plan Updates

This past summer, the Port Washington Water District took water conservation very seriously amid a drought and reduced capacity. Our residents deserve a round of applause, but this work is not over. During this webinar, residents will receive updates on our Capital Improvement Plan and the incredible improvements it will bring to our District, our progress on the treatment of emerging contaminants in our water and further information on our summer water conservation efforts.

May 18 at 4:00 pm: Empowering Youth to Be the Stewards of Port’s Drinking Water

  • Students and their parents are invited for an in-person event at the Port Washington Library for a fun and engaging conversation about protecting and preserving the community’s only water source for generations to come.
  • Students will also learn about the Do It For Port certificate opportunity, which can be earned by participating in a water conservation challenge around their home.

May 4 at 7:00 pm: We Must Conserve. Do It For Port! – Water Week

In celebration of National Drinking Water Week, residents are encouraged to learn more about the District’s mandatory conservation requirements, the latest in water conservation tactics, and how to save both money and the environment while maintaining a green, healthy landscape.

March 16 at 7:00 pm: PWWD’s Capital Improvement Plan to Keep Your Water Safe

During this virtual webinar, residents will learn about where their water comes from, how it is treated as well as updates to and intricacies involved in bringing new treatment facilities online.
