Port Washington Water District Stays Proactive and Vigilant Against Emerging Contaminants Informs Community of Proposed Bond Needed to Fund Infrastructure
In accordance with Federal and State regulations, the Port Washington Water District produces an Annual Drinking Water Quality Report. This in-depth report is filled with important information regarding water quality, cost, sources, treatment and more. Please be aware that the NYS Department of Health has not modified the requirement for annual back flow testing of residential and commercial sprinkler systems. We have recently notified those in the Port Washington Water District service area of the need to have their systems tested. However, given the current situation with corona virus, should a resident request additional time to have this test performed, the District will allow so. Residents simply need to contact the District office at 516-767-0171.
